In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with the help of Go Daddy and Kajabi.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider (Kajabi, PayPal, Apple Pay and Stripe) and are not stored or processed on our servers.

 

How do we protect your personal health and genetic information?

All personal health information is stored using HIPAA-compliant methods. You can learn more about HIPAA on the CDC’s website here: Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

Personal health information is processed via Google Forms and a business Google Email Address. BEAR NOURISHMENT, LLC DBA NUTROME has signed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google LLC to ensure that all measures to protect personal health information have been taken. No personal health information is stored and delivered on servers or with companies that are not HIPAA compliant.

When you order a genetic test through Nutrome, a pseudonym and fictitious identity is created for you. Your real name, phone number, email address, and other personal information is not provided to any genetic company. Personal information linked to your pseudonym and fictitious identity is stored and locked in a secure location. Therefore, all steps have been taken to ensure that any data breaches on behalf of a third-party genetic testing company cannot be traced back to you. The genetic testing companies used also have safeguards in place to ensure that genetic data is kept private: 23 & Me Privacy and Data Protection.

 

Third Parties

In utilizing this site, you may be subject to the tracking of third-parties, such as Google, LinkedIn, etc… The privacy policies of third-parties may vary from those of nutrome.net, so links to the privacy policies of these third parties are included below.

Google participates in the NIA opt out program. You can visit this link to no longer be tracked by Google and Google properties such as Google Plus.

We do not monitor or review the content of third party sites that we link to on the nutrome.net website or to those third parties that have linked to us. We are not responsible for their privacy policies and practices, and encourage you to review their specific privacy policy to ensure that you are safe when using their site. We do not necessarily share or endorse the practices and opinions of these third parties that have linked to us or that we have provided links for.  

 In addition, programs such as Privacy Badger to further control the collection of information regarding you online.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.
